Medicine Book changes for farmers with a TESCO milk supply contract.
All farmers with a TESCO contract are obliged to give TESCO information about treatments within the herd. There have been changes made to the Your Herd medicine book to enable TESCO farmers to allocate an official VMD (Veterinary Medicines Directorate) number to each medicine previously used.
When entering any new mediciines you will have the option to choose the medicine from a list, or by VMD number, whereupon the VMD number will be autiomatically assigned.
If you have any questions about these new options, please contact your Area Manager.
If you are not on a TESCO contract you will currently see no difference in the medicine book pages.
